Chloe Hecht
Chloe was born in the high desert of New Mexico. She attended Cornell University where she received a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences with a concentration in biochemistry. During her undergraduate studies, she worked in a plant pathology lab to gain insights into the molecular basis of plant-pathogen interactions using tomatoes as a model system. After undergrad she moved to California to work as an RA at Stanford University in a biochemistry lab interested in the molecular mechanisms of Parkinson’s disease. As a graduate student Chloe is excited to be working in the Patel lab, hanging out with C. elegans, and thinking about fundamental basic science questions surrounding mitochondria.
Outside of the lab Chloe can be found hiking, riding her bike, reading philosophy, and resisting the urge to water her succulents.
